The movie takes place in the future, where a group of skilled commandos, led by Major Alan "Dutch" Schaefer (Hugh Jackman), are on a mission to rescue a group of captive scientists on a distant planet. However, they soon discover that they are being hunted by an alien creature, known as the Predator.
